Christmas at FLEETCOR UK

After a great year, we’re running a number of events across Europe and ANZ. It’s just one of the ways we like to thank everyone at FLEETCOR for all of their hard work. Here we look at a few highlights from Christmas at our UK offices in Swindon and Meriden.

Celebrating Christmas in the Swindon office

In our Swindon office, there were events throughout the month including best Christmas desks and fundraising for Brighter Futures.

On National Christmas Jumper Day, the team collected money from participants for Save the Children. Later in the month, the annual Christmas Party was a big success, with a casino theme and Selfie Mirror available on the night for all to enjoy.

“My first FLEETCOR Christmas party was brilliant; I loved seeing everyone outside of work – both the people I see every day and others that I don’t usually get to talk to. I especially loved all the stuff there was to do, like the selfie mirror – as well as all the wine! I’m really looking forward to the next social event.” Hazel Compton, Copywriter.

Finally, some team members and their young children welcomed Santa and his elf to the office. The annual Santa’s grotto is always a popular event, which usually takes place the last working day before Christmas.

Not only do our employees get to have some fun they also get the opportunity to spend time with other colleagues they may not normally get to see” Elaine Barclay, HR Director – UK & ANZ

Organising the Christmas events for the Swindon office began in August; with the Christmas Party being one of the most difficult events to co-ordinate for large numbers.

Not to be outdone, the Meriden team also took part in Christmas Jumper Day, charity fundraising as well as serving a Hog Roast and Mulled Cider to the team.

“Christmas at Meriden is a really special time of year. We like to treat it as a chance to thank the team for their hard work throughout the year, so a lot of care is taken to ensure the office is suitably festive for our employees. Typically the Christmas party is booked in July, going into full mode come the start of November- by which point we’re busily booking and buying items for the various events. It is a very busy time of year for the team, who work flat out alongside their day-to-day roles to ensure we deliver everything on time and to a high standard.” Jordan Chamberlain, Meriden Office Manager

As Christmas comes to a close, we’re looking ahead to 2018. We’ll be sharing our latest social events via internal comms over the next few weeks.
